#1: The Seven Bowls Of God’s Wrath Are Unleashed In The End Times

Chapter 16

I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!"

Then Judith began to sing this thanksgiving for all Israel, and all the people sang after her this song of praise.

The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and evil sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.

And Judith said, "Begin to my God with timbrels; sing to my Lord with cymbals; tune to him a new psalm; exalt him and call upon his name.

The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.

For God breaks the battles. For among the camps, in the midst of the people, he has delivered me out of the hands of those who persecuted me.

The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

Assur came out of the mountains from the north, he came with ten thousands of his army, their great number stopped the torrents and their horsemen covered the hills.

I heard the angel of the waters saying, "You are righteous, who are and who were, you Holy One, because you have judged these things.

He bragged that he would burn up my borders, and kill my young men with the sword, and dash the infants against the ground, and make my young children as a prey, and my virgins as a spoil.

For they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this."

But the Almighty Lord has disappointed them by the hand of a woman.

I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments."

For the mighty one did not fall by the young men, neither did the sons of the Titans strike him, nor did lofty giants set upon him; but Judith the daughter of Merari weakened him with the beauty of her countenance.

The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire.

For she put off the garment of her widowhood, for the exaltation of those who were oppressed in Israel, and anointed her face with ointment, and bound her hair in a headdress, and put on a linen garment, to deceive him.

People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn't repent and give him glory.

Her sandals ravished his eyes; her beauty took his mind prisoner; and the broadsword passed through his neck.

The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain,

The Persians quaked at her boldness; and the Medes were daunted by her hardiness.

and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They didn't repent of their works.

Then my afflicted shouted for joy and my weak ones cried aloud. But they were astonished; these lifted up their voices, but they were overthrown.

The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.

The sons of the gentlewomen have pierced them through and wounded them as fugitives' children; they perished by the battle of the Lord.

I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs;

I will sing to the Lord a new song. O Lord, you are great and glorious, wonderful in strength, and invincible.

for they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go forth to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God, the Almighty.

Let all creatures serve you. For you spoke and they were made; you sent forth your spirit and it created them; and there is none who can resist your voice.

"Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn't walk naked, and they see his shame."

For the mountains will be moved from their foundations with the waters; the rocks will melt like wax at your presence. Yet you are merciful to those who fear you.

He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, Megiddo.

For all sacrifice is too little to be a sweet fragrance for you and all the fat is not sufficient for your burnt offering, but he who fears the Lord is great at all times.

The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came forth out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

Woe to the nations who rise up against my kindred! The Lord Almighty will take vengeance upon them on the Day of Judgment by putting fire and worms in their flesh; and they will feel them and will weep for ever."

There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men on the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.

Now as soon as they entered into Jerusalem, they worshipped the Lord; and as soon as the people were purified, they offered their burnt offerings and their free offerings and their gifts.

The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Judith also dedicated all the belongings of Holofernes, which the people had given her, and she gave the canopy, which she had taken out of his bedroom, as a gift to the Lord.

Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

So the people continued feasting in Jerusalem before the sanctuary for the space of three months; and Judith remained with them.

Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent, came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague is exceedingly severe.

After this time, every one returned to his own inheritance. And Judith went to Bethulia and remained in her own possession; and during her time she was held in honor throughout the country.
